Stone Forge is a masonry and landscape company serving northern Minnesota and Wisconsin. We are dedicated to giving our clients exactly what they expect—every time. To protect every project and investment, we focus on educating clients and helping them understand potential pitfalls during the planning stage. In our harsh climate, drainage, frost protection, and water mitigation are critical and often overlooked, leading to costly disappointments later. The foundation of every project is the most important part, every time. We specialize in masonry, landscape services, and outdoor living spaces.

About Dean Johnston
As the owner of Stone Forge in Duluth, MN, I bring the expertise of a 3rd generation master mason with over 25 years in the masonry, landscape and building industry. My passion for stone masonry, one of the world's oldest trades, runs deep. I have a particular love for natural stone, often traveling to beaches and mountains to handpick unique rocks. I thrive on the challenge of creating artistry with earths natrual elements transforming each project into a masterpiece.
Outside of work, I prioritize faith, family, and then my occupation. I cherish the time spent with my wife and children. As avid archery hunter, I frequently explore the beautiful backcountry of Minnesota, Idaho, and Colorado. I also have a great appreciation for a good cup of coffee, cheesecake, and BBQ.
